🧩 NX Custom DB: Major Update to the Tinfoil Metadata System

Hello everyone 👋

We’ve reached a new milestone with the release of the new version of NX Custom DB for Tinfoil.
After many issues with Tinfoil’s official metadata such as server outages, corrupted JSON files, and missing names replaced by Title IDs, we completely rebuilt NX Custom DB to provide better stability, faster performance, and improved multilingual support.

🚀 A Complete Rework of NX Custom DB

After more than a month of work, we’re releasing a major new version of NX Custom DB powered by the NLib API v2.0.0 (recently rewritten with Hono and Node.js).
This update delivers faster synchronization, improved language handling, and automatic metadata updates for all supported titles.

🧠 How It Works

You don’t need to do anything.
NX Custom DB is automatically added to Tinfoil when you connect to supported sources.

Just make sure it isn’t disabled in your shop settings.

🌍 Multilingual Support (Automatic Detection Coming Soon)

Soon, NX Custom DB will automatically detect your Tinfoil language setting and send metadata such as names, descriptions, and summaries in the same language.

Data comes directly from:

Only games that have been dumped and indexed are included in NX Custom DB.

When a new title is added, its metadata appears automatically once available.
