Welcome to our year-end news update! As 2024 draws to a close, we’d like to recap the milestones we’ve achieved this past year and share a glimpse of what’s coming in early 2025. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. 🙌
1. 2024 Recap ✨
A Year of Growth 🚀
- Community Expansion: We officially launched on the Nintendo Switch platform over 6 months ago, and the response has been phenomenal. We’re grateful to everyone who joined our community in 2024.
- Challenges Overcome: From DMCA notices to the closure of “LiberaShop,” we faced significant hurdles early on. Despite these obstacles, we adapted quickly and continued to provide reliable services.

- 750,000+ unique Switch connections in a 30-day span (December 2024)
- 1.9M+ total users since launch
- 6–8 PB of bandwidth used monthly, peaking at ~9 PB in December 2024
- 37 dedicated servers for Switch alone (public + pro)
- 30M+ total downloads across all content
Content Catalog 🗂
- 17,291 base games
- 13,456 game updates
- 13,953 DLCs
- 11,000+ retro titles (returning soon)

2. December 2024 Maintenance & Upgrades 🛠
We spent December refining our infrastructure and services:
Custom NX Metadata System
- Complete rewrite for faster access
- More accurate translations
- Better handling of titles with missing English metadata
RetroShop
- Rewritten for better Tinfoil connectivity
- Updated ROM support for the latest Switch firmware
- Enhanced compatibility and performance
ProShop
- Migrated to our v4 server system
- Download speeds limited only by console capabilities
- Improved stability and reliability
ProWeb
- Major rewrite in progress
- Now on our v5 download system
- Theoretical speeds of 1 Gb/s and beyond (network-dependent)
Cost Reduction 💰
- Reduced monthly infrastructure costs by over $400
- Total costs now under $800 (down from $2,500–3,000)
- Additional ~$200/month reduction in progress

3. Looking Ahead to Early 2025 🔮
Nintendo Switch
- Ongoing content additions
- Further improvements to Pro services
- Full maintenance and support for current infrastructure

- Major focus on rewriting and overhauling the entire 3DS ecosystem
- Planning full release of the eShop patch (previously in closed beta)
- Enhanced compatibility and features
